Simon Doty’s evolution continues.

His breakthrough album ‘Universal Language’ now squarely in the rearview; Simon is turning back to his roots and pushing further into groove-based club music with his own imprint Recess.  Redefining his sound with the aptly named Reup project; Doty has released two double EP’s with two more on the way, alongside tour dates in 12 of his favourite club markets.  Recess-led festival stages and open airs await, underscoring Doty’s most exciting summer yet. 

This sound selector and creator is a self-taught gear master ‘whiz kid’ whose engineering has earned the ear of his peers and heroes alike. With a signature sound defined by gritty textures and tough, driving grooves; formative influences like Hot Since 82 and Jamie Jones are now counted among Simon’s most ardent supporters. Industry icons Pete Tong and Danny Howard have taken notice, with regular first plays and support on their BBC Radio 1 programs.

Marquee performances at electronic music’s top venues including Brooklyn Mirage, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Gorge Amphitheatre, Savaya Bali and Fabric London highlight a year of live milestones for the Canadian talent.
